A Londoner whose face was severely damaged after a road traffic accident in a black cab has launched a claim for more than £300,000 in personal injury compensation.
In February 2010, John Falk was travelling through Mayfair when the taxi he was travelling in collided with a central reservation. As a result of the impact, Mr Falk required “major reconstructive surgery” on his face.
Mr Falk’s injuries to his face were extensive, including the loss of 70% of vision in his left eye, a fractured nose and broken teeth while emergency surgery was needed to relieve pressure on his head immediately after the collision.
His legal representatives argue the medical attention needed in the aftermath of the crash has cost Mr Falk “tens of thousands” in healthcare treatment. As a result, he is now suing the taxi company, for £300,000 in compensation.
The case continues.
